San Diego is one of my favorite places to be, and one of my favorite places to go when I am there is La Jolla Cove. It is absolutely beautiful and well worth going to; everywhere you look is a breath-taking view and I just so happened to be there on a perfect overcast day which made taking pictures even more enjoyable.
Here are some of my favorite shots of this beautiful couple on their wedding day. They were so much fun to work with, even on a freezing cold December day they managed to make the best of it! Mackenzie and Brodey are so in love, and capturing that love was an absolute dream!
Austin and Mikah were an absolute blast to work with. Their love is so sweet and adorable and I couldn't help but smile while I was taking their pictures. We went up by Sundance up the Alpine Loop and had a great time! I love, love!
This bridal session was a part of my class this semester with Justin Hackworth (an amazing and inspiring wedding photographer based in Provo, Utah.) He was kind enough to let us come to his studio and take some amazing photographs. This was an absolute dream and I LOVE how they turned out!
I created these images to show the simple and natural beauty found in the elements of the earth around us and the how we, as humans, interact and feel in these environments. These photographs portray real and raw portraits in an environment and an interaction between earth and man. With each element comes a different feeling, which is up to the viewers to decide, feel and interpret.
I enjoy the way that I feel when I am in certain environments and the variations of emotions that come with each element and I wanted to capture portraits that convey some of those emotions. I believe that it is important to feed and renew the soul and one of the most successful ways I find to do so, is by being in nature; finding the beauty and simplicity in the world around us, and in each other.
These photos were taken for my final project for my documentary photography class. I wanted to capture the essence of childhood and how you know a child has been in a certain place - by the things they sometimes leave behind that we overlook in our everyday lives. I love the simplicity and joy that children bring into the world.
This portrait session was so much fun and Scott was a blast to work with. We explored the Capital building and Downtown SLC. He was wanting to get some new updated business photos and some fun new portraits. I absolutlely love how they turned out!
Tyler + Maddie Engagements
Engagement session up American Fork Canyon with the cutest couple. One of my favorite things about sessions in the freezing cold snow (besides how beautiful it is), is watching my cute couple's cuddle up nice and close to keep each other warm. Tyler and Maddie have the sweetest love and you can't help but smile when you're around them.
